When you are thirsty

The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.”~John 4:15

When we go to or rely on anything outside of God Himself we remain thirsty.  For the things we go to are temporary while God and His Spirit are eternal.  When we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, He blessed and sealed is with His Spirit.  Because of Christ we are blessed with every spiritual blessing ( Ephesians 1:3)imaginable and unimaginable.   He has given us all that we need to satisfy whatever longings that may be in our souls.

If you are in a parched place, reach out to God and let Him quench that thirst.  If you do not know Him for yourself  He stands waiting at the door; let Him in( Revelation 3:20)  If your well is overflowing bless others with it so that they too may taste the goodness of the Lord.  Share with others the abundance of your joy in the Lord.

Father, bless this day and may we glorify You and seek Your face.  Give us your water, fall fresh on us like the dew in the morning.  Forgive us seeking comfort in the things of this world.  Lord may we just drink of You.  In Jesus name. Amen
